1. Controller
This website, drivewithranjit.com, is operated by Ranjit Sivadasan, Freischützstraße 73, 81927 München, Germany. Contact: support@drivewithranjit.com, phone/WhatsApp +49 151 61264423. The operator is the controller for data processing under the GDPR.
2. Data processed and purposes
- Accounts and courses (Tutor LMS): name, email address, login details and course progress are processed to provide access to the lessons (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Orders and payments (WooCommerce, WooPayments, PayPal): name, billing details, order history and payment status are processed to fulfil contracts and meet accounting obligations (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR). Payments are processed by WooPayments (Automattic, with payment processing by Stripe) and PayPal (PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., Luxembourg). Payment details are handled by these providers and are not stored on this website.
- Contact forms (WPForms): the details entered are used only to answer the enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
- WhatsApp support: when contact is made via WhatsApp, the phone number, name and message content are processed by WhatsApp (Meta) and by the operator to answer the request. The contact form or email can be used instead.
- Emails (WP Mail SMTP): order confirmations, password resets and replies are sent through an email service provider.
- Comments: name, email address, IP address and browser details are processed for spam protection.
- Server logs: IP address and request data are stored briefly by the hosting provider for security and stable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3. Cookies and consent
Necessary cookies (login, cart, checkout) are always set. Cookies for analytics, advertising and affiliate tracking are set only with consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; § 25 TDDDG). Consent can be changed or withdrawn at any time through the cookie banner settings.
4. Analytics (Google Site Kit)
With consent, Google Analytics and Google Search Console are used via Site Kit to understand how the website is used. Data may be transferred to the USA on the basis of the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
5. Advertising (Google AdSense)
This website uses Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to display ads, including personalised ads where consent has been given. 6. Affiliate programme (SliceWP)
Referral links set a cookie, with consent, that records the referring affiliate so that commissions can be assigned correctly. For registered affiliates, name, email address and payout details are processed to run the programme and pay commissions (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
7. Links to external websites
This website links to external sites such as YouTube. Videos are not embedded, so no data is transmitted to YouTube until a link is clicked. After that, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.
8. Recipients of data
Hosting is provided by Hostinger International Ltd., Cyprus, with whom a data processing agreement is concluded. Other recipients: payment providers (WooPayments/Stripe, PayPal), the email provider, Google (analytics and advertising), WhatsApp/Meta (support requests), and tax or other authorities where legally required. Data is not sold.
9. Storage periods
Order and invoice data is kept for the statutory retention periods (generally 6 to 10 years under German commercial and tax law). Account data is kept while the account exists. Contact enquiries are deleted once resolved, unless a legal obligation applies. Comments are kept until deletion is requested.
10. Rights
Under the GDPR there are rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, and consent can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future. Requests can be sent to support@drivewithranjit.com. A complaint can be lodged with a supervisory authority, for example the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA).
